The line up for the 2010 Austin City Limits festival has been revealed. Headlining Friday is Phish, on Saturday Muse will close out the night and on the final day of the festival the Eagles will take the stage.
Other big names include M.I.A., Flaming Lips, the Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Norah Jones and Austin-favorite Spoon.
Here are some of the rumors.
Band of Horses – From the clues in the chronicle. “When I lived alone, is there a ghost in my house?”
Eminem – Just a fleeting rumor that got passed along. Not sure this one holds water yet.
Green Day - It was a rumor but was all but debunked. Green Day have a Oct 10 show in Brazil…
M.I.A. – Another Chronicle rumor. C3 is employing cryptic guerrilla tactics, just like last year.
Muse – Reference to “Uprising” posted outside Stubb’s.
Passion Pit – Passion Pit is opening for Muse on their tour…
Pat Green – On Pollstar, Pat Green has a “Zilker Park” date on Oct 10.
Phoenix – I had floated this one out there a couple weeks ago. Mix 94.7 is keeping the rumor going.
Robert Earl Keen – Has a “Zilker Park” show in October listed on the Lost Highway Records site.
Ryan Bingham – Also rumored by Mix 94.7
Spoon – Lyrics showed up in the Chronicle.
The Black Keys – They’ll be on tour until mid-October and have a conspicuous absence from 10/04 to 10/10. Safe to say they’re a Friday or Saturday band.
The Flaming Lips – Another Mix 94.7 rumor, plus there is a break in their show dates. They will be in the UK in mid-Sept and then Florida on Oct 13. Gotta love those suspicious gaps.
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue – It’s on the Verve Music Group website, so that’s pretty much a lock.
Three-day passes are sold out. Single-day tickets go on sale for $85 at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The festival is October 8th through the 10th at Zilker Park.
